At Alpha we have been providing specialist advice in this sensitive area for more than 10 years. In addition to business experience and professional advanced, Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial status with the industries highest Long term care  qualifications (CF8, G80) principle director and adviser Robin Stamp has been accredited by the  Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA) in conjunction with the Financial Services Skills Council  as one of the handful of people in the south west of England qualified and respected as a specialist in this area of need. In addition to his experience and qualifications he  has personal family experience of needing to arrange care for his own parents (With his mother still resident in a nursing home). Thus he understands all too well the emotional issues involved as well as the financial ones.

We believe that what the majority of people want is truly independent advice (not sales) on:

  • How to make sure that you are claiming any assistance possible, thus avoiding paying for care fees where the government, NHS or local authority should be paying or at least contributing towards them.
  • How to arrange finances and pay for care (where the responsibility lies with the individual), whilst preserving or protecting assets from total erosion.
  • How to create and/or use a power of attorney (making sure that you meet your obligations as attorneys acting for someone in care).
